CaffeMarco is a small coffee roastery located at Combs Ferry Kitchen in rural Clark County.
Set amidst the sloping, green pastures and artfully constructed rock walls, the aroma of roasting coffee comes as an exhilarating surprise.

Over the past couple of years, as a fairly well-traveled person and now settled happily in Kentuckys Bluegrass, I began searching for a rich tasting coffee that I could enjoy on a consistent basis. The pleasure of a smooth cup of morning coffee every morning was a simple goal, but one that lead me further than I could imagine at that time. Lucky for me, a friend mentioned a coffee roaster in Cincinnati who roasted to order so I drove up to pay him a visit.

Well, this was the best cup of coffee I had tasted in years, and certainly better than any Id sampled in Lexington, Kentucky. The concept was clear to me: this coffee roaster bought top quality green beans, roasted them in a state of the art, small-batch Primo Coffee Roaster, and offered them fresh: the day after roasting. I would bring this same goodness to coffee-lovers in Lexington: CaffeMarco was born.

Eighteen months later, after much study, conversation, and a stint at a large, commercial coffee- roasting plant, I got lucky again.
I had heard about the quality baked goods from Combs Ferry Kitchen and decided one morning to seek it out. Driving deep into the hunt country laying between Winchester and Lexington, I only knew that I was after something different, something hand-crafted and produced with care. I was delighted to find pies and tarts and scones baked to a high standard and done in small
batches and served in a pleasant, sunny dining room. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner,
gourmet comfort food “, are also flavorful and attractively presented.

Happily, CaffeMarco set up shop amid the homey baking aromas and the sloping green pastures in Clark County.

Coffee beans are the 2nd most traded commodity in the world and a very sophisticated market has been around for a long time, thus I was able to locate a coffee bean broker who specializes in importing top quality arabica beans.

CaffeMarco roasts coffee beans from Africa, Latin & South America, as well as Indonesia. I am now using 100% Fair Trade / Certified Organic beans for all of my coffees.

The coffees are available at a number of locations in the Lexington area including the Good Foods Co-op, Wild Oats Market and the Saturday Lexington FarmersMarket.

Staying small and staying fresh is how we stay appealing to you.™

My goal is to make great coffee for myself and 300 coffee-loving fanatics.
Now I just need 299 more.

Thank you.
